General notes

The 'Jolly Miller ' was built at Goolwa in 1866 by Messrs Hooker and Curzon. Its length was 90'8", beam 18'6", depth of hull 5'8", first registered 8 June 1866 for owner William Basham, miller of Port Elliot. A half model was built up from the detailed drawings, and from this model templates for the frames and other parts of the hull were made preparatory to building the model's hull.
