'Foremost' [steel single screw steam tug, ON148769. 244 gross, 12 net tons. Built 1926 (7) A Hall and Co. Aberdeen and named 'Foremost 41', renamed 1927. 105.1 x 27.1 x 11.4. Triple expansion recip. steam engine by shipbuilder. Owner: 1927=Huddart, Parker Ltd. Registered Melbourne, May 1958 Ritch and Smith Ltd, registered Port Adelaide. This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'. Additional information, giving the history of the ships where known, has been provided by maritime historian, Ron Parsons.
