'Leon Blum' steel ship 2733 tons [steel 3 mast barque, later re-rigged as three mast ship. 2849 gross, 1879 net tons later 2733 gross, 2316 net tons. 282.8 x 44.0 x 22.8. Built 1901 Atel and Chant de Normandie, Rouen. Owners: Soc. Generale d'Armement, registered St. Nazaire later Soc. Nouvelle d'Armement, registered Rouen. Ashore near Dakar in Nov. 1917 and became a constructive total loss (CTL)

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'.
