Summary

The wooden ketch 'Annie Watt', 42 tons, in an unidentified harbour. [wood 2 masted barge rigged, ON57512, 42 tons, 63.7 x 18.0 x 5.6. Built 1870 J Wilson Port Esperance T. by 1875 described as a ketch. Aux. engine fitted in 1925 = 44g, 33n. Owners: George Watt, reg. Hobart Dec. 1873 George Watt, William Fergussen & Samuel Reeves, reg. Port Adelaide. Dec. 1873 Wm Fergussen and S Reeves: 1877 G. McKay and others. Oct. 1882 Port Wakefield Shipping Co. Ltd: 1895 AE Le Messurier & Partners. 1925 RC and JF Harvey. Sold for preservation and is ashore at Port Adelaide waiting provision of a display site. Photograph taken at Pine Point. From the volume titled 'South Australian Owned Coasters, Part I'.

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'. Additional information, giving the history of the ships where known, has been provided by maritime historian, Ron Parsons.
