The wooden ketch 'Lurline', 47 tons, at Port Adelaide [wooden 2 mast ketch, ON57541, 58 tons. 79.0 x 18.5 x 7.1. Built 1873 Hobart Tasmania. Owners: JG Davies, registered Port Adelaide Jan. 1874 GR Selth, registered Port Adelaide, he is joined later by C Heath and others. Oct. 1882 Port Wakefield Shipping Co. Ltd.; Dec. 1892 R Sinclair; 1903 AG Littlely. Auxiliary engine fitted in 1915. Wrecked Sellicks Beach SA July 23, 1946]

From the volume titled 'South Australian Owned Coasters, Part I'.

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'. Additional information, giving the history of the ships where known, has been provided by maritime historian, Ron Parsons.
