The steel barquentine 'Bellmore', 313 tons, in an unidentified harbour. [steel auxiliary twin screw motor vessel, barquentine rigged 313 gross, 272 net tons. ON139315, 146.8 x 27.2 x 11.2, built 1892 (6) Grangemouth Dockyard Co. Grangemouth as the barquentine rigged sailing ship 'Maracaibo' for Danish owners. In 1917 fitted with two paraffin motors, coupled to twin screws and now owned by The Bell Lines Ltd. registered Hull.]

From the volume titled 'British Owned Coasters'.

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'. Additional information, giving the history of the ships where known, has been provided by maritime historian, Ron Parsons.
