Summary

The iron ship 'Fulwood', 2170 tons, in an unidentified port [iron ship, 2170 tons, ON91270, 279.0 x 40.2 x 24.4. Built 1885 (1) Oswald, Mordaunt and Co. Southampton. Owners: RW Leyland and Co (later Sailing Chip Fulwood Ltd., managed by Leylands) registered Liverpool. c.1910 to Norwegian owners without change of name. When under Norwegian flag went missing in 1919 on a voyage from Buenos Aires to Korsor].

From the volume titled 'British Owned Iron and Steel Ships (III)'.

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'. Additional information, giving the history of the ships where known, has been provided by maritime historian, Ron Parsons.
