The four masted iron ship 'County of Roxburgh', 2209 tons, wrecked at Takaroa Island on 8.7.1906 [[iron 4 mast ship, 2209 tons, ON93277, 285.6 x 43.5 x 24.0. Built 1886 (6) Barclay, Curle and Co. Glasgow. Owners R&J Craig, registered Glasgow. Totally wrecked Takaroa (or Tokaroa) Island (Low Archipelago) South Pacific, February 8 1906, in a hurricane. All saved].

One of the ships owned by Craigs County Line / R. and J. Craig, Glasgow.

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'.
