The four masted iron barque (ex ship) 'County of Dumfries', 1640 tons, undergoing maintenance. [iron 4 mast ship, 1718 tons, ON78585, 266.2 x 33.8 x 23.6. Built 1878 (3) Barclay, Curle and Co. Glasgow. Owners R&J Craig, registered Glasgow. Sold to part owners in Finland 1905 and renamed Sovinto. Lost after striking a reef off Priest Pond, Prince Edward Island, November 1906].].

One of the ships owned by Craigs County Line / R. and J. Craig, Glasgow.

This image is from the A.D. Edwardes Collection of about 8,000 photographs, mostly of sailing ships from around the world, taken between about 1865 and 1920. Mounted in 91 albums, the photographs are arranged by country of ownership, with some special volumes such as 'Shipping at Port Adelaide' and 'South Australian outports'.
