A framed photograph of Thorburn Robertson, Thorburn Brailsford's father and Sarah's husband, can be seen on the table to the left. Sarah Robertson joined her son in Berkeley, California in 1907. Historical information

Sarah-Ann Brailsford (aka Sheila), daughter of William Brailsford and Sarah Ann (nee Jeffries) was baptised on 6 December 1858 in Shugborough, Stafford, England, although her birth was registered in the March quarter of that year. She married Thorburn Robertson in Hawarden, Flintshire, in 1882. Thorburn Brailsford Robertson was the couple's only child and they settled in South Australia in 1893. She died on 17 January 1940 at Mount Lofty Hospital in South Australia.
