Historical information

This First World War Soldier's Memorial Monument was unveiled by Sir Tom Bridges, the Governor of South Australia, on 30 March 1924, in front of a crowd of about 1000 people. The statue was cast by A.W. Dobbie & Co. Ltd. of Adelaide, and erected by Mr John Tillett of Adelaide.
