Summary

The remains of the 'P.S. Wave' at Bourke, showing its paddle wheels and steering wheel on the land. Ronald Parsons 'Ships of the inland rivers', notes that 'Wave', after stranding on land in the 1921 flood, became a home for the owner, who grew vegetables in a nearby stranded barge, known locally as 'Noah's Ark'.
