General notes

The P.S. 'Wagga Wagga' ended its days "beached" on the banks of the Murrumbidgee at Narrandera. The story has it that after the railway reached Narrandera,the owner Mr Roach, told the Captain to leave the 'Wagga Wagga' on the bank of the Murrumbidgee, just south of the town, as it was in dire need of repair but no longer a viable means of transport. Today, following an extended dry period, its frame, boiler and rusted paddle wheel frames are clearly visible from a purpose-built viewing platform. [Information supplied by Ian Gordon, 2008.].
