Historical information

A caption note states that 'S.W. Victoria was stuck for 11 months at Moorna, on a trip from Bourke to Murray Bridge, on a sand bar across the Murray. Major Johns an American expert came aboard for information, and asked to be taken down to Entrance Creek, Lake Victoria'.

Registered at Melbourne, 1865, Port Adelaide, 1888, official number 48425. Built at Goolwa, 1865, by R. Colquhoun. (Godson number 77A/18).
