Summary

Bow and side view of sternwheeler 'P.S. Melbourne', tied up, in foreground, with several men on board, and a block and tackle used for snagging. A group of paddle steamers lined up on the opposite bank, under the high river cliffs, with buildings and railway on top, include screw 'Firefly', PS. 'Riverina', S.W. 'Kelpie', S.W. 'Pride of the Murray', S.W. 'Lady Darling', and far right P.S. 'Endeavour'.
