Caption note on back of photograph states that the engines from 'Julia' were placed in 'Sprite'(Barge), which was renamed 'Ero', and lists Captain R.G. Lavin, 1877.

Wooden paddle steamer. Registered at Sydney, 1870, and Melbourne, 1892, official number 59569. Built at Moama, 1870, by G. Linklater. (Godson number 48A/25).
