Historical information

Registered at Port Adelaide, 1903, official number 117413. Built at Morgan, 1902, by R.H. Taylor. (Godson number 36A/14). According to a researcher 'the 'Federal' was owned by Allan Edgar John Johnson from about 1948-1953. He purchased the vessel from people named Collins and moored it just upstream from the Mannum quarries the source of stone for the barrages at bottom end of the Murray. According to the caption on the rear of the photograph the photograph was stamped 'Jenkins Print Mildura'. Note B45637 is also a Jenkins Print. Given these points I would suggest that the 'Federal' is pictured at Mildura.
