General notes

This photograph was originally captioned with a location as Owen Springs, however it is more likely to be on the leg travelled between Middleton Ponds Station and Angas Downs, during which the Chevrolet truck was used, rather than the first leg between Alice Springs to Middleton Ponds Station, on which a car was used.

Photograph taken by Charles Mountford whilst acting as secretary to the 1935 'Commonwealth Board of Enquiry into the alleged ill-treatment of Aborigines near Ayers Rock'.
