Historical information

Born 18 October 1910 at Franklin, Tasmania, the son of William H. Cummings. The family returned to England after the death of his father, including his mother, and his sister Winifred. During WWII Cummings worked as a radiographer with the Free French. After the war he took up a position in South Australia as a radiographer position with the State X-ray Health Service. He and Margaret Weld Fletcher were married at the Brixton Registry Office, London, later returning to live in South Australia. John Cummings died 27 August 1977.
