Summary

Daguerreotype portrait of two young girls, most likely sisters Mary Vale Bishop (1852-1889) standing on the left with her arm around her younger sister Amelia Helen Bishop (1856-1868) seated on the right. Mary and Amelia were the two eldest daughters of Captain John Bishop and his wife Esther Bishop (nee Kemp). The girls are wearing white frocks tied with bows and their hair is styled in ringlets.
