Summary

Ledger used as signal log and sailing log by Flag Lieutenant Frank Wooldridge 1833, prior to being killed in action with the French. Subsequently used by Y. B. Hutchinson to record details of early Adelaide including the weather 1837-1838, early land sales, his own land purchased, details of his land at Hindmarsh Valley and a proposed cemetery there, hand drawn plan of Adelaide and North Adelaide town acres, hand drawn plan of Encounter Bay, agricultural tips, and numerouse pen and ink sketches of ships, coats of arms and flags (many hand coloured) and a family tree. Contains 20 loose inserts relating mainly to land transactions. Digital copy only.
