Summary

An autograph letter (signed) from E. Marsh to her sister dated "Adelaide, July 29, 1850". Four pages, in ink, with circular embossed stamp upper left corner. E. Marsh, a recent settler, encourages her sister to emigrate, saying "Bring your tools with you by all means..." as plumbing will make a good trade.

Historical information

It is possible that E. Marsh is the Elizabeth Marsh who returned to Swansea on 'Panama' in June 1851. A 'Mrs E. Marsh' also appears in the lists of unclaimed letters in the 'Adelaide Register' and 'Adelaide Observer' for 1853 and 1854.
