Summary

Detailed cross-section hand-drawn double-sided illustration of Victorian-era terraced houses, drawn in ink with sections coloured with watercolour paint. The illustration is drawn over multiple sheets, but it appears that some pages are missing. One side of the sheets depicts the exterior of the houses, showing paths with front gardens and street lamps, doors, balconies, windows, potplants and vines. On the reverse of the sheets is the interior of the buildings, drawn with great attention to detail, depicting furniture, rugs, paintings, decorations, light fittings and curtains for various rooms, including sitting rooms, bedrooms, conservatories, bathrooms, dining rooms, and a theatre. The illustration covers eight pages in total, and may be part of one large building, or possibly two smaller ones. Five pages have been joined together forming one section of the house, and a futher three pages with matching design style, have been joined to form the other.
