Interior of the Red Cross' 'Rest Room' maintained during the war for sick and disabled servicemen at Solomontown. The men are seated around tables having afternoon tea, with the women volunteers standing at the back of the hall. The Hut was next to Junction Station (Solomontown/Port Pirie) and provided meals and a rest area for the servicemen. (No troop trains went through during World War II).
