Historical information

There is a reference to this steamer in the 'Border Watch' (Mount Gambier, SA), Saturday 5 March 1898: 'The Perseverance was built eight or nine years ago by Mr. Anderson, of Port McDonnell, for Mr. D. Matheson, and cost £800 with the engines'.
