In retrospect (reminiscences)

'In retrospect', the reminiscences of Arthur White of his nearly 50 years' service with the South Australian Railways (1887-1935). He notes in his foreword that 'the reminiscences do not purport to be completely historical ... the collection ... has been written mainly from memory, excepting where dates and references to Acts of Parliament, etc. have been used'. 1 June 1935. He includes anecdotes of officialdom, personalities, aspects of running a railway (eg ash pits, tickets, loco workshops), activities involving the employees, some of the local railways and costs.
