Bain marie made for Pier Hotel, Glenelg (or South Australian Gas Company). 28 March 1928. "WS.7659-60 Bain Marie made for South Australian Gas Company. 28/3/28. Size 6'6" long x 3 ft. wide x 3 ft. high on 6 legs about 6" from floor. Top cast aluminium polished, with 2 carving recesses 18" x 18" with Nickel plated telescopic covers; Three containers 15" x 9" with divisions; with two 9", two 7", and four 6" polished copper containers plated with pure tin inside with nickel-plated copper covers. Tank of 1 1/2 lb. copper. Hot closet with shelf in centre perforated with 1/2" holes with 2 sliding doors back and front. (Doors made of polished steel 14 gauge with 2" x 3/16" polished beading), fitted with nickel-plated handles with 2 tubular gas burners made from 3/4" gas piping"
