Service No.431155 Flying Officer Eric Garnet Arthur of the Royal Australian Air Force was born on 4 May 1923 in Mount Gambier, South Australia, to parents Garnet William Arthur and Ellen May (nee Stuckey). He enlisted with the RAAF on 28 May 1943 in Melbourne, Victoria, and served with 9 Aircrew Holding Unit during the Second World War. He was discharged on 3 December 1945.
