Summary

Photograph of the entrance foyer at the Odeon Theatre in Mount Gambier in 1949. The ticket booth offers tickets for the lounge, dress circle, front stalls and back stalls. The current film being shown was "A woman destroyed" with Susan Hayward advertised as an "intense absorbing drama". According to a researcher, this photo was taken at street level as per the reflection of the car parked on Commercial Street. The Ticket Box was just out of focus on the near right hand side and the entrance doors showing are for the down stairs section. Stairs to go upstairs were directly opposite those doors.
