General notes

Part of a collection of photographs taken by Eric Arthur, a Mount Gambier photographer.

Historical information

Shortly after marrying the Ellisons were stationed at Terowie where Alfred Ellison was chaplain to troops transiting through the rail hub. They moved to Waikerie, then to a mission posting at Goulburn Island in Arnhem Land. They had seven children between 1944-1961. Alfred Ellison passed away in 2000, and Myrtle Ellison in 2007.
