Summary

Photograph of house at 3 Philip Avenue, Leabrook. Designed by John S. Chappel Pty Ltd, architect, for Kym Bonython. Caption by John S. Chappel: 'The picture gallery houses what is probably Australia's most representative private collection of modern Australian paintings. The floor is of polished white terrazzo'. Seen at right is Brett Whiteley's huge 2 x 4.5 metre canvas, 'Summer at Sigean' (1962-63) which was displayed directly opposite the house's main entrance.
