Summary

A framed portrait of Elizabeth Bruce of Victor Harbor by colonial artist Henry Clayton. The work is believed to be an original painting on porcelain plaque, however opalotype photographs were also known to be over-painted. A companion portrait of Elizabeth's husband, John Bruce, is BRG 216/17/1.
