Summary

Black and white photographs of the expansion of the General Motors-Holden's Limited factory at Woodville. Contains images of 'R' section and the 80 ft. span crane, the 'A' line and steel storage bay in Plant 1, and the main scrap tunnel. Includes images of 'B' and 'C' press lines under construction in 'R' section, the boiler house being built and the installation of the boiler, construction of the flammable material store complete with lifting gantry, gate houses in various stages of completion, and building works near the entrance opposite Cheltenham Racecourse [formerly described as Woodville oval].
