Historical information

In the mid 1920s, Holden's Motor Body Builders Limited won a contract entitling them to make the entire bodies of Buick, Chevrolet, Dodge, Essex, Oldsmobile, Overland and Maxwell cars in Australasia, with contracts for many other makes signed, including Fords. This equated to an estimated quantity of 33,000 bodies.
