Summary

Five children pictured in a garden. The photo has had a 'A happy Christmas' sticker pasted on the corner with an ink notation 'taken 3/1/13'. On the back is the message: 'Dear Clara, These photos were taken in the garden just by an amateur - they are splendid [?] Father wanted to send a photo of the children home to his sister. I had these done intending to surprise him - they came the night he died - I posted one out that evening - it seemed terrible when the post brought it the next morning of course not sending them out now but knew you would like one. Bertha'. It seems likely that Bertha was Bertha Elizabeth Krieg, daughter of Edward Herman Krieg who died 29 January 1913.
