Summary

View of the Charles Street foyer (known as block 'G') from the back of the elevator looking towards Charles Street. On the ground floor is the staff door and payment of accounts. A lady and man are standing at the pay accounts service counter while another lady is at a smaller counter which is advertising 'today's specials'. This photograph was taken after hours on 23rd January 1963. This area provided access to the dining hall, used for functions in the evening, but lack of space meant that it was discontinued in the mid 1950's. [From scrapbook 97].
