Summary

Series of thirteen photographs taken during the formal presentation of the John Dowie sculpure "The Slide" from John Martins to the Adelaide City Council. The Chairman of John Martin's, Sir Edward Hayward, made the formal hand over to the Lord Mayor. Others present include the Minister of Transport, Mr Virgo; the Town Clerk and John Dowie. The presentation took place in Rundle Mall.
