Summary

River steamer "Cumberoona" in dry dock at Mannum. This vessel was built at Echuca in 1866 and unfortunately was snagged and sunk on the maiden voyage. She was stuck in Darling from 1885-86. She collided with the "Wahgunyah" in 1869 and Captain J Mace was found culpable and had his master's certificate suspended for 12 months. She was a ship of 142 tons. A 3/4 size replica was built at Albury as a Bicentennial project in 1985.
