Opening of Parliament, the Governor's escort of Lancers. These men are part of Remount Section of the Australian Army Service Corps (Permanent Military Forces). Remount Section was the body responsible for the purchase and training of horses. The verandah posts on the South Australian Hotel can be seen in the background.
