Summary

Point McLeay Mission Station showing the church and several cottages. Its Aboriginal name Raukkan, which means meeting place in the Ngarrindjeri language, was for thousands of years an important meeting place for the Ngarrindjeri people. TB Stangways renamed the land Point McLeay in 1837. Since 1982 it has been known as its proper title of Raukkan.
