Summary

Model of the "Rapid" built for Mr S Wilcox by Lionel S Rogers of Hobart. Scale = three eighths of an inch equals 12 inches. "Rapid" was a brig of 161 tons which brought William Light's surveying party of the new colony of South Australia. It left London on 1 May, 1836 and arrived at Kangaroo Island 17 August 1836.
