Summary

Gum tree at Ashford which grew on the Everard Estate and was 43 feet in circumference. [Actually it was 44 feet 8 inches from the ground]. It was cut down above the butt in about 1920. Notes on the back of the photograph state " Old gum tree at Ashford about a hundred and three yards south of the Anzac Highway.
