This photograph published in The Observer newspaper 15 September 1917, page 26.

In his journal entry of Saturday 4 August 1917 Norman B. Tindale records, "Arrived Library at 9 on 4 Anniv of War. Went with others to Admin Dept & there roll was called & then we sang "god save the King" & had our photo taken on the lawn against the building.".
