Summary

General Post Office, King William Street. this freestone building was opened in 1872. The tower is called the Victoria Tower and was the tallest building in Adelaide into the twentieth century. The foundation stone was laid by the visiting Prince Alfred, Duke of Edinburgh in 1867.
