Summary

Panoramic view of Farina, man and his horse in the foreground. (Sweet Adelaide 935) Farina was settled in 1878 and was the railhead for a time before the railway line was extended to Maree. Farina sits on the edge of the desert within the Lake Eyre Basin near the commencement of the Oodnadatta and Birdsville Tracks. In the background of the photograph tents, stone buildings and a hotel can be seen.
