Summary

North Terrace, south side, Botanic Hotel, East Terrace frontage is 13 yards and North Terrace is 15.5 yards. The Botanic Hotel stands on the south western corner of North and East Terrace. At the time of this photograph the proprietor was Charles Kelly. When the building was first established in 1883 it traded as unlicensed accommodation. The three storey hotel complete with parapets holds a commanding position. The central part of the hotel has three storeys while the adjoining wings of accommodation have two storeys. Many people can be seen in the photograph.
