Summary

Streaky Bay Jetty. The Wirungu are the traditional custodians of the land around Streaky Bay but Captain Matthew Flinders renamed the bay because of the streaks in the water across the water caused by the growth of seaweed in the sea. The jetty was built between 1891-1896. The photograph shows a labourer unloading a boat that is moored at the jetty.
