Summary

Murray Bridge stands on the Adelaide to Wolseley line. Murray Bridge was named when the road bridge over the Murray River was built in 1879. It was followed by the Adelaide to Melbourne railway line which was operating from 1886. The town's original name was Mobilong but prior to European settlement the area was home to the Ngarrindjeri Aboriginal people. This view of the station shows the tiered flower beds behind the platform.
