Summary

Post Office, Hahndorf. Hahndorf was previously known as Ambleside. The name Hahndorf originates from Dirk Meinhertz Hahn, the Danish captain of the "Zebra". Due to World War I the South Australian Government changed many German place names. Hahndorf was known as Ambleside from 1917 until 1935.
