Summary

Hospital and Doctor's residence at Elliston on the west coast of the Eyre Peninsula. The hospital was built in 1910 by AJ Riggs for 742 pounds. It was demolished in 1975. The Doctor's residence was built in 1906 by JL May of Colton for 473 pounds. Dr RG Burnard was the first doctor to reside here. Elliston was named after Ellen Liston, the English author and educator who was governess on a nearby property.
